Dr Valentine Seymour is an environmental social scientist with over 10 years’ experience undertaking deliberative, system evaluation, and qualitative research. Valentine has a PhD in environmental social science from UCL, and is a Lecturer at the University of Surrey, Senior Researcher in environmental psychology the University of Portsmouth as well as the committee lead for the UK’s British Environmental Psychology Society. She has trained and has developed the use of deliberative methods for environmental impact and policy evaluation, product evaluation and design across. These have included the NHS’s National Clinical Audit System, Defra’s 25 Year Environment Plan, Kew’s Landscape Ecology Programme and most recently the current project evaluating the previous Heat Health and Cold Weather Alerting System for Public Health England.
